Graduate Recruitment for Lloyds Banking Group

Lloyds Banking Group has 17 million personal customers, over 2000 branches, market- leading products and is one of the best-known brands on the high street. The Customer Value Management (CVM) team is a centre of excellence within the business providing detailed market analysis to ensure that optimum value is delivered to the customer base.

It is a highly knowledge driven service demanding a mix of analytical and numerical ability, creativity and inter personal skills.

The Graduate recruitment programme is a primary focus for the team as it seeks graduates of the highest calibre to enhance its operational input, inviting applications only from a select group of universities.

Academy devised and delivered a process for Lloyds TSB that allowed graduates to demonstrate both their intellectual ability and personality fit for the roles. At the 1st stage applicants were invited to complete an online numerical skills assessment, which given the high numerical content within the roles could offer an immediate insight into the applicants potential. Depending on the results they then undertook both further ability and personality assessments and a structured telephone interview. Final selection decisions were made following attendance at a full assessment centre.


Our graduate recruitment requirements are unique within Lloyds TSB and we decided that a bespoke selection process would best suit our needs. In inviting Academy to deliver this for us we knew that we working with a trusted partner and that both the process design and management would meet our needs.
